ABOUT MEETING ON 08/04/2009

The meeting started with Rotary Prayer by Rtn.N.A. Venkatanara-simhaan and Rtn.Pres.D.P.Balaji welcomed the Chief Guest and the Rotarians. Rtn.Sec.A.G.Balaji announced that the next meeting will be on 14th April instead of 15th April and it is a joint meeting. Assistant Governor (2009-2010) Rtn.PP.A.Chandra-sekharan made two announcements viz. 1.DTTS 09 will be held at Carmelia Heaven at Vandanmedu, Kerala on 19th April,2009 and 2. Advertisements for District Directory is called for. After wishing birthdays & wedding days, two projects were done. Viz.(1) A sum of Rs.1,250/- was given to VOC MIDDLE SCHOOL for procuring gifts for their annual day function and (2) A sum of Rs.6,000/- was assured to one Mr.Vinod, (Aged 17 years, Son of Mr.Ramamoorthy doing his 11th standard in Pallipalayam near Namakkal) for his heart operation (Rs.1000 from Rtn.Udaykumar, Rs.500 each from Rtn.V.Jeya Kumar, Rtn. PP.A.Chandra-sekharan, Rtn. C.Chinnadurai, Rtn.C.K.Raja Krishnakanth, Rtn.PP.V. Rajendraprasad, Rtn.K.Ravi Kumar and Rs.2000 from Club). The speaker Mr.A. VASUDEVAN (Managing Director of M/S.HARI EXPERTS' SOLUTIONS PVT LTD, Tiruchy)was introduced by Rtn.K.K.Selvaraj. The speaker addressed the Club on the topic "MUNNETRA PAATHAIKKU MUTHAANA VAZHIGAL". He pointed out that AHIMSA followed by Mr.M.K.Gandhi is the best way to achieve even unattainable targets. He gave many technical details about Evolutionary Theory, Genes, Spinal Cord, Medulla Oblongata, Left Brain, Right Brain etc., He pointed that an analysis should be made on the people who succeeded in their lives like Ambani & Rathan Tata. The proper control of emotional intelligence is the best way to reach success and for that yoga is recommended. He quoted 6 cases where emotional intelligence is rightly/wrongly used to achive/loose a critical situation. Vote of Thanks was given by Rtn.Gokulakrishnan.
